Pull quotes from a video

The three or four lines worth repeating, lifted out and set on a card.

Every good talk has a handful of lines that carry it. Finding them by scrubbing a timeline is miserable work, and typing them out by hand introduces errors that get screenshotted forever. Drop surfaces the strongest lines from the transcript verbatim, then hands them to a card studio where you control the background, the type and the mark in the corner. Ink or paper, your palette, your logo, your font from Anton, Space Grotesk, Inter or Playfair Display. Export a single card or the whole set as PNGs.

Steps

  1. Step 1

Run the video or audio through Drop

Any link, file or Drive link. The quotes block appears alongside the transcript and the ideas.

  2. Step 2

    Pick the lines that land

You get several candidates pulled straight from the spoken words. Choose the ones that stand alone without context.

  3. Step 3

    Open the card studio

Set the background, switch between ink and paper, choose a typeface and load your own logo if you have one. The style is remembered for next time.

  4. Step 4

    Export

Download one card or the full deck as PNGs, sized for feeds and stories.

What you get

Questions

Are the quotes word for word?
Yes, they are lifted from the transcript rather than rewritten, which matters if you are attributing them to a named person.
Can I edit a quote before making the card?
You can adjust the text in the studio, useful for trimming a filler word at the start of a sentence.
Can I use my own branding?
Yes. Upload a logo and set your own colors and font. The default RIZZ mark is only there until you replace it.
Do I need design software after this?
No. The exported PNG is finished and correctly sized for posting.
