Privacy and what Drop records

After a successful drop, Drop can record a small derived record: a topic, a few tags, a short summary, the core ideas and the shareable quotes. For public links it also keeps the link itself and its domain.

It never records the full transcript, the text you pasted, the file you uploaded, or the contents of a Google Drive link. There are no accounts, so nothing is tied to a person.

Public links (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Rumble, podcasts and normal web links) are published to the public Knowledge Ledger as a short summary with quotes, so anyone can read and reuse them.

Private sources (uploaded audio or video, Google Drive links and pasted raw text) are never published. If they are recorded at all, they stay private and never appear on the ledger, the feed or the sitemap.

The Resources button runs a web search over the things a piece of content names, so it can hand you links to those tools, products, repos or reading. The search uses the derived topic and summary only. It never sends your transcript, your pasted text, your files or anything personal.

Resources generated on a public ledger entry are saved on that entry and shown to everyone who reads it. Resources generated on a private drop are shown to you in that session and are not saved.

The screen reader samples still frames from a video and sends a small set of them to the model so it can read on screen text, diagrams and steps. For your own uploads and files the sampling happens on your device in the browser, and only the selected frames leave it. For platform links the video may be fetched to our server first so the browser can sample it, and that temporary copy is deleted after the sampling finishes.

A public ledger entry shows the derived knowledge and a link back to the original source. It does not show who dropped it. No name, no email, no account, no IP is stored on the entry.

Anonymized topics and tags from private drops help improve extraction quality and build a topic graph across the material people find useful. Those signals carry no raw content and no identity.

Two controls, both in your hands. In Settings there is a toggle, "Help improve the engine with anonymized private drops". Turn it off and private drops are not recorded at all.

Per drop, under the input, tick "Keep this out of the public ledger" on a public link to stop it being published, or tick "Also share this to the public ledger" on a private source if you do want it public.

Keys you paste in Settings live in your browser only. They are sent straight to the vendors on each drop and never saved on our side.
