Video to text from a file on your machine

Not every video has a link. Screen recordings, exported edits, a webinar someone sent you, footage that never got published anywhere. Drop takes the file directly, reads the audio track and writes it down, so the content of a video is no longer trapped inside the file. It is the same pipeline used for public links, just fed from your disk instead of a URL, and the same outputs come out the other end.

Questions
- Which video formats work?
- MP4 and MOV cover almost everything people have. Other common containers generally go through as well.
- Does the video itself get analysed?
- No. Drop reads the audio track. Slides, on screen text and visuals are not part of the transcript.
- Is a long recording a problem?
- No. Webinars and full length recordings run on the extended job window used for podcasts.
- What happens to my file?
- It is uploaded to private storage for processing and is not published anywhere. The outputs are yours to download.
