How to get an X (Twitter) video transcript
Long clips get posted to X and then vanish down the timeline. Take the text with you before they do.
X has quietly become a video platform, and the good stuff there is usually a raw clip with no description, no chapters and no transcript. Sometimes it is a forty second answer that decides an argument. Sometimes it is a two hour space someone reposted. Drop takes the post link, pulls the attached media and writes the spoken content down, so you can quote it accurately instead of paraphrasing from memory in a reply.
Steps

Copy the post link
Use the share icon under the post, then Copy link. Both x.com and older twitter.com links resolve. The link must point at the post itself, not at a profile or a search result.
Step 2
Drop the link
Paste it on the homepage and press Drop it. Drop finds the attached video or audio on the post automatically.

Read the transcript and the ideas
You get the raw text plus a plain sentence summary of the argument being made, which is what you actually need for a quote tweet.

Questions
- Does it work on protected accounts?
- No. Protected posts are not reachable by anything outside your logged in session. Save the video and upload the file.
- What about a quote post that contains someone else's video?
- Use the link to the original post that holds the media. A quote post wrapper sometimes resolves, but the original is reliable.
- Can it do a long recorded Space?
- If the audio is attached to a public post, yes, and it runs on the long form job window used for podcasts.
- Does it read the post text too?
- The output is built from the spoken audio. If you want the written post included, paste that text into Drop as raw material.
